Our 2nd Annual Haircuts and Hope event took place on January 21, 2019 and was a huge success! Our leadership team and youth leadership council partnered with Metropolitan Ministries for the second year in a row and provided free haircuts, manicures, food, games, and giveaways to individuals who are between homes at the Metropolitan Ministries homeless shelter. We gave away blankets, toys, and toiletries to those in attendance. We brought together over 50 volunteers and served dozens of individuals in need! Our partners included: Metropolitan Ministries, Blake High School Barbering and Cosmetology, The Return Specialist Agency, and many other individuals from the community! Planning is already underway for next year's event and we are expecting it to be bigger and better!
On August 5, 2018, Iota Beta High School Fraternity hosted its first Teacher Supply Drive and Giveaway. We served 150 teachers in Hillsborough County by providing them with essentials to begin the year! Many of these supplies were taken back to high-needs/low-performing schools, including those within Hillsborough County's "Achievement Schools"! Thank you to our partners and sponsors for making this event possible!

The United Youth Combine is about bringing together youth from all over Tampa Bay, and fostering relationships! This event is all about fun, fitness, relationship-building, teamwork and UNITY! Our first Youth Combine was a huge success! Thanks to our coordinator, Jeremy Blount.
The Youth Job Fair brought together teens between the ages of 14 and 19 with companies around the Tampa area to give them an opportunity to apply, interview, and secure employment! There were over 170 students in attendance and nearly 30 teens were hired on the spot! Many others were invited for future interviews, some received scholarships, and learned about financial literacy. Leading up this event we offered a 6-hour, 2-session job-readiness training that prepared teens for the interviewing process as well as taught them about job etiquette, professional attire, resume writing, etc. This event was a huge success and we are looking forward to making next year's bigger and better! Thank you to our partners and sponsors for helping to make this event possible: Tampa Housing Authority, Safe and Sound Hillsborough, Walmart, East Tampa Business and Civic Association, Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART), and BUBBA of Tampa!
